Azzazzins
A Band Born from the Chaos of the Grind
Origins: From Workday Frustration to Sonic Fury
Azzazzins wasn’t formed in a polished studio or with grand ambitions—it was forged in the fire of everyday struggle, a battle cry against the monotony of the grind. Founded by Mike (bass), along with a group of like-minded musicians looking to let off steam, Azzazzins emerged as an outlet for frustration, rebellion, and raw self-expression.
By day, the members of Azzazzins punched the clock, dealing with the daily slog of work. But by night, they turned their angst into music—aggressive, unfiltered, and unapologetic. It wasn’t about fame or fortune; it was about survival. Every jam session was a cathartic release, a way to fight back against a world that often felt suffocating.
Sound and Influence: A Sonic Assault
Azzazzins' music is a volatile mix of grunge, punk, and pure unrelenting noise. With heavy basslines, feral guitar riffs, and vocals that carry the weight of exhaustion and fury, their sound is a direct punch to the gut—dirty, unpolished, and real. There are no clean edges, no attempts to fit into the mainstream.
Drawing influence from grunge legends like Nirvana and Alice in Chains, as well as punk icons like Dead Kennedys and Black Flag, Azzazzins blends the raw emotion of grunge with the speed and aggression of punk. Their music is a declaration of defiance, rejecting conformity and embracing the chaos of everyday life.
Live Shows: A Riotous Experience
Azzazzins isn’t a band you just listen to—you experience them. Their live shows are chaotic, sweaty, and loud, where the crowd becomes just as much a part of the performance as the band itself. Whether it’s in a grimy basement venue, a makeshift stage in a dive bar, or a DIY punk festival, Azzazzins brings an unhinged energy that makes every performance feel like it could spiral into beautiful destruction at any moment.
There’s no pretense, no overproduced spectacle—just raw, explosive energy. Mosh pits form. Beer gets spilled. People scream. And for a brief moment, everything outside the venue disappears.
Lyrical Themes: A Rebellion Against the Ordinary
Azzazzins doesn’t just make noise for the sake of it. Their lyrics dive into the anger, exhaustion, and alienation that come with living in a world that feels designed to grind people down. Songs touch on themes of dead-end jobs, societal hypocrisy, personal demons, and the constant fight to stay sane in a world that demands conformity.
Some lyrics feel like drunken confessions; others are outright calls to arms. Whether it’s about being trapped in a cycle of paychecks and bills or the feeling of being an outsider in a system that doesn’t give a damn, Azzazzins’ words resonate with anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t belong.
DIY Ethos: No Gimmicks, No Bullshit
Azzazzins follows a true DIY ethic. From self-recording their music in whatever space they can find to designing their own merch, they believe in keeping control over their art. Labels, industry politics, and commercialism mean nothing to them—what matters is the music and the community around it.
They record rough and raw, not obsessing over perfection but focusing on capturing the real, imperfect energy of their sound. Their releases aren’t overproduced—they sound alive, like a band playing in a room together, feeding off each other’s energy.
What’s Next: Chaos in the Making
Azzazzins isn’t chasing record deals or radio play. They’re here to burn bright, play loud, and never hold back. With new music always brewing, more live shows on the horizon, and a relentless hunger to keep pushing forward, Azzazzins is a force that refuses to be ignored.
For those who feel the weight of the world pressing down, Azzazzins offers an escape—a place where noise drowns out the bullshit, where sweat and sound collide, and where rebellion is more than just a word—it’s a way of life.
Join the Riot. Join Azzazzins.

Marcus Guccione
The Guitarist
Though a classically trained guitarist from the ages of 12 to 16 he fell in love early on with heavy metal guitar and1990s alternative rock. Bands like Metallica, Guns ‘n roses, Slipknot, and disturbed, were a constant listen. Although he couldn’t shake his love for alternative rock; bands like the Red Hot chilli peppers (in which is tattooed on him), Sublime, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and of course Nirvana.
As he moved on to high school, to study the in your face art of not giving a fuck, it was easy to make the transition into punk rock from fast-paced metal and 1990s alternative rock.
When I asked which guitar players were the reason for him picking up the instrument, he has replied such names as , Eddie Van Halen(he’s a huge Van Halen fan), Slash, John Frusciante, and Carlos Santana. In an interview, he was once recorded saying, “ I want to be the Italian Carlos Santana”. Funk, hip-hop, and hard rock music are just some of his favourite genres. As a musician, he claims to be a lover of all music.
In high school is where he first started playing with a more popular hardcore punk band by the name of Ozuna , where they were a regular at Toronto venue The Hard Luck. From the breakup of Ozuna came his and bass player Daniel Rei’s ska punk project, The A-Lunch Experience. Now alongside bass player/vocalist Michael Montoni and drummer Vladimir Novik, he feels that he can truly mix all his influences into one “bad ass project.”
Vlad Novik
The Drummer
Vlad Novik is the powerhouse behind the drums in Azzazzins, bringing an explosive energy and precision that fuels the band’s grunge punk sound. With an ear for raw rhythms and an unmatched intensity, Vlad’s drumming cuts through the mix and gives Azzazzins their driving heartbeat. Known for his relentless work ethic and ability to let loose on stage, he’s the driving force that keeps the band grounded in their punk roots while pushing boundaries with every performance. Whether it's keeping the beat steady or diving into intricate fills, Vlad’s contribution to the band is undeniable, earning him the respect of fans and bandmates alike.
